Job summary

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery, LLC is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide HR leadership for a 700-employee manufacturing facility in Tarboro, NC. The role covers employee relations, benefits, recruitment, and learning and development, supporting frontline supervision and plant management.

You will drive policy interpretation, compliance, program implementation, and organizational change initiatives to strengthen performance and employee engagement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience required.
• Experience leading strategic initiatives, influencing others, and driving results.
• Previous plant/manufacturing experience.
• Strong data & analytics orientation.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to design meetings and group interactions.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support for policies, contract interpretation, counseling and corrective action.
• Support the benefit program for salaried exempt, non-exempt and hourly employees.
• Recruitment responsibilities including internal appointments.
• Conduct employee training on benefits, harassment prevention and policies.
• Provide guidance on discipline, attendance, and procedures.
• Lead culture change and organizational design initiatives.
• Develop plant operator capability through development and process improvement.
• Collaborate with Plant HR Manager to build a high-performing leadership team.
• Lead HR initiatives with Director, HR Operations and corporate HR teams.
• Create a positive employee relations environment across the site.
• Support EHS initiatives.
