Job summary

International Paper in Roanoke, VA is seeking an hourly Full-Time worker to support quality checks and operate as backup for the line. The role involves feeding boards into machines, inspecting items, and keeping a clean, organized work area.

You will follow work orders, fill top sheets, and handle sheets; occasional heavy lifting and standing for long periods are required in a climate-controlled but dusty plant.

Qualifications

• Counting and stacking finished products and reading factory orders.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, with more frequent lifting of 1–20 pounds.
• Requires reaching below waist and knee, kneeling and squatting; rare stairs.
• Frequent hand/wrist work, keyboarding and manual dexterity.
• Long periods of standing and walking in a plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Check quality and perform operator backup as needed.
• Feed boards into machines and inspect/process items.
• Report defects to the operator immediately.
• Stack neat bales per work order specifications.
• Fill out top sheets and use top/bottom sheets correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping and participate in preventive maintenance.
