Job summary

Hearth & Home Technologies in Lake City, MN seeks a manufacturing team lead to direct daily operations and ensure production schedules are met. You will train staff, maintain standard work, and escalate issues as needed to keep quality and safety at the forefront.

The role requires layout and blueprint reading, good computer skills, and the ability to adapt to continuous improvement initiatives. Strong organizational skills and experience leading teams are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1-2 years' experience informally leading teams.
• Experience and willingness to train others.
• 4-6 years manufacturing/distribution experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction for the team.
• Lead required daily team meetings.
• Meet production schedules and solve root causes for potential disruptions.
• Orient, train, and facilitate training for production staff.
• Maintain standard work and train members to meet it.
• Escalate issues to the supervisor as needed.
• Support team goals in safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Provide regular progress reports to supervisor.
• Communicate production, safety, and quality issues.

Position Details

• Location: Lake City, MN
• Starting Pay: $24.00-29.75/hr + $2.00 shift differential
• Shift Details: 5:00PM- 3:30 AM (Core Hours)
• Monday - Thursday
• OT as needed
• Full Time / Direct Hire

Role & Responsibilities

• Providing daily direction for the team
• Lead required daily team meetings
• Meeting production schedules and solving root causes for potential disruptions
• Orients, trains, and/or facilitates training needs of members in production processes
• Maintaining standard work and training members to accomplish standard work requirements

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven change.
• Ability to perform in a variety of manufacturing jobs.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
