Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America in Morganton, NC is hiring for a production associate to support a manufacturing operation, aiming to increase productivity, reduce downtime and waste. You will work on the plant floor as part of a team and handle a variety of tasks across shifts.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, willingness to work first and second shifts, overtime, good attendance, and the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be willing to work the first and second shift.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Experience in packaging/manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation to increase productivity and reduce downtime and waste.
• Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work and assist all plant-floor jobs.
• Follow safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Maintain shop and equipment per 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• May stack parts up to 30 lbs. for up to 12 hours.
