Job summary

Cascades in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking a General Labor to operate on the production floor, performing roll changes, lamination checks, and quality checks.

This safety‑minded role offers 12‑hour rotating shifts, potential for profit sharing, telemedicine, insurance and pension plans; high school diploma required, forklift experience preferred, and a strong work history.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One (1) year minimum consecutive production experience is preferred.
• Previous forklift / material handler experience is preferred.
• Understand the importance of safety, good attendance and production demands.
• Ability to work with heights and different powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete roll changes, including webbing up the machine.
• Check and fill lamination, tail tie and pick up glues.
• Troubleshoot machine operation issues.
• Operate hand tools, pallet jacks, and fire extinguishers.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to complete product changeovers.
• Load boxes by hand to case packers.
• Ensure conformance to product specifications by completing all quality checks.
• Participate and ensure completing all job functions with the recognized safety guidelines.
• Paplermaking team members are expected to learn and operate lift trucks.

What you’ll do

As a General Labor, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape.
Your day-to-day:

• Complete roll changes, including webbing up the machine
• Check and fill lamination, tail tie and pick up glues

Your strengths as a General Labor

You are a natural fit for this role if:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Previousforklift / material handler experience is preferred
• Strong work history with longevity in previous positions
• One (1) year minimum consecutive production experience is preferred
• One (1) year of forklift experience is preferred
• Understand the importance of safety, team work, good attendance and production demands
• Ability to work with heights and different powered equipment
• Non-rotating positions are based on seniority and may take three (3) years or longer to achieve
• * Based on which machine an employee works on during their shift
