Job summary

Chromalox is seeking a Receiving Lead in Ogden, UT to manage the flow of parts and materials and to support on-time production. You will coordinate receiving, inspection, and material handling to meet production schedules.

You will lead a team, verify accuracy of records, and collaborate with supervisors, shipping, and production to optimize inventory and workflow using CPS/Lean principles.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Must have knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; JDE system experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and related documents; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assigns workers to workstations to meet production requirements; monitors production and adjusts work assignments, supply of material, and machine operation when necessary.
• Confers with supervisor to receive instructions and exchange production information; provides up-to-date information on status of work in progress, quality and material inventory.
• Communicates with and coordinates with other supervisors, team leads, quality technicians, material handlers and shipping personnel; responds to customer demands with changes to production flow.
• Assigns and works with trainers to ensure employees under their lead are fully trained in core capabilities and quality processes.
• Collaborates with other departments to define and develop solutions for department goals and targets.
• Works with statistical reporting and examination of OTP, past dues, and material shortages; assists with toolbox meetings and safety communication.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled for TPM.
• Through teamwork, develops and implements quality and efficiency improvements.
• Applies CPS principles and lean techniques to optimize processes and emphasizes continuous quality improvement.
