Xplora Search Group is partnering with an established manufacturing organization to recruit a Senior Accountant for manufacturing and operations finance, cost analysis, and operational support.

The role blends traditional accounting with analytical work, collaborating with operations, engineering, and supply chain to drive financial performance and business insights. The position emphasizes product costing, inventory, and internal controls within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A few years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or product-based business.

Responsibilities

• Play an important role in the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory activity, and operational results to identify trends, explain variances, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to better understand manufacturing processes and their financial impact.
• Support product costing, inventory valuation, and analysis of manufacturing-related expenses.
• Participate in inventory management and reconciliation activities, helping identify discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting that provides leadership with greater visibility into business performance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives that support the company's financial and operational objectives.
