Seven Executive Limited seeks an experienced Financial Controller to own the finance function within a growing manufacturing business. Based in Powhatan, Virginia, you will report to the General Manager and lead two accountants while shaping financial strategy.

You will manage month-end close, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and US GAAP reporting, partnering with CPA firms and external stakeholders to drive growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager ready to step up.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, or capital equipment businesses.
• Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting.
• Experience with job costing and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• ERP implementation or transition experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Proactive with a commercial mindset to grow with the business.

Responsabilités

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
• Oversee cash flow management and financial reporting.
• Manage accrual-based accounting processes.
• Oversee job costing and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with external CPA partners on tax preparation and compliance.
• Manage relationships with banks and other financial stakeholders.
• Ensure financial systems and processes align with US GAAP.
• Manage and develop a finance team of two accountants.
• Provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
