Job summary

MCM Engineering in Utah is seeking a Financial Controller to lead our local financial operations during rapid greenfield expansion. You will manage the general ledger, financial reporting, and local personnel.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, CPA preferred, 3+ years of controller-level experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, and hands-on experience with payroll, multi-state tax filing, and an ERP migration from QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
• CPA certification highly preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years in progressive accounting or controller roles.
• Experience supervising 2+ personnel in a manufacturing/fast-paced office environment.
• Strong technical skills in payroll, garnishments, multi-state tax filing; familiarity with QuickBooks; ERP workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP, AR, General Ledger, and financial reporting cycles.
• Lead ERP migration, transitioning from QuickBooks to the new ERP platform.
• Directly supervise and mentor office personnel handling daily transactions.
• Coordinate financial metrics with purchasing, shipping, and receiving teams.
• Prepare variance reports and present to Top Management and Global CFO via Teams.
