Job summary

Magnum Venus Products, Inc. is seeking a Controller to manage MVP’s cost and operational accounting, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and accurate financial reporting. You will lead accounting operations, tax compliance, and external audits while collaborating with the Chief of Staff & Head of Finance.

The role requires oversight of monthly closes, budgeting, and internal controls, with interaction across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and manufacturing accounting principles.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and operational accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across all divisions, ensuring GL accuracy.
• Assist in preparing and managing annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Maintain chart of accounts, reconciliation cadence, and journal entry controls within Epicor.
• Monitor production costs, inventory valuation, and variances to improve profitability.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize resource allocation and costs.
• Reconcile balance sheets and post journal entries daily as required.
• Establish and enforce robust internal controls for financial integrity.
• Lead for annual physical inventory and cycle counts; manage asset capitalization.
