Job summary

SPX Technologies in Cincinnati is seeking a Financial Analyst to act as a key finance partner to the Engineered Air Movement business, delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and actionable insights. You will collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Finance leadership to support sound decision-making and strengthen financial controls.

You will contribute to cost accounting, inventory controls, and operating performance improvements, develop operational reports and KPIs,

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Data mining, query generation, and translating large or complex data sets into clear financial insights.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting financial information to auditors and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of financial reports, investigate unusual results, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure inventory and manufacturing transactions are recorded accurately.
• Participate in Operations meetings with financial guidance and decision support.
• Maintain monthly close files including P&L, gross margin walks, and OPEX reporting.
• Prepare and maintain journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for cost accounting and inventory.
