EDAG is seeking a Manufacturing Field Engineer to drive on-site process development and ramp-up on our Austin projects. You will translate designs into repeatable assembly methods and work closely with product development and production teams to ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field required.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience on a production floor or construction site.
• Knowledge of 2D drawings and 3D CAD software.
• Experience with tooling, fixtures, lifting equipment, and material-handling systems.
• Strong English communication (C1–C2).

Responsibilities

• Translate product design into a repeatable manufacturing process and resolve ramp-up issues.
• Participate in design reviews and provide manufacturing feedback.
• Support factory-floor implementation of new products and processes.
• Record step-by-step assembly processes and note quality issues and rework drivers.
• Collaborate with production personnel, designers, and engineers to improve processes.
• Read and interpret drawings, BOMs, and manufacturer instructions.
• Observe and analyze build processes, time/motion, and DFM opportunities.
• Coordinate daily with product development, procurement, supervisors, trades, suppliers, and remote teams.
• Ensure materials, means, and methods align with design intent.
