Job summary

The Manufacturing Plant Janitor supports a clean, safe, and organized Composition Brands production facility in Greenville, MI. The role involves housekeeping in production areas and office spaces, assisting with waste disposal and cardboard recycling, and ensuring adherence to safety procedures.

Physical tasks include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and wearing PPE. This is a full-time position with a standard Monday–Friday schedule and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work the schedule assigned by management.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, if required by company policy.

Responsibilities

• Change and remove trash from production areas, offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and other designated plant locations.
• Break down cardboard boxes and place recyclables in designated areas.
• Collect, transport, and dispose of waste using carts or dumpsters.
• Keep aisles, walkways, and common areas clean and debris-free.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and perform routine cleaning throughout the facility.
• Report spills, hazards, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
