American Products in Missouri is hiring a Custodian to support our Facilities Maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures clean, safe, and well‑organized production and common areas while following approved cleaning procedures and safety rules.

The position offers evening and overnight shifts with a $2 differential and training on a day shift. Forklift certification may be obtained within 30 days, and employees use scrubbers, lifts, and PPE as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Janitorial experience in manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean facilities.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean restrooms and breakrooms using approved chemicals and equipment.
• Clean plant floors using ride-on and walk-behind scrubbers and sweepers.
• Empty trash throughout the facility.
• Transport waste and cardboard to compactors using a forklift.
• Restock supplies, fill dispensers, and disinfect surfaces.
• Clean windows, walls, and high-traffic areas.
• Report facility or safety issues to Maintenance.
• Assist with larger cleaning projects as needed.

Physical & Safety Requirements
