Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Construction Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute facility construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects in support of manufacturing operations.

The role requires a strong background in industrial construction, project management, contractor coordination, cost control, and schedule management within manufacturing or similar environments; you will work with multiple internal teams and lead design reviews and field inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/ mechanical/ electrical engineering, construction management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction or facility infrastructure projects.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data center or similar environments.
• Knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and project delivery processes.
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and engineering consultants.
• Strong budgeting, estimating, and cost control skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage facility construction and infrastructure projects from concept through closeout.
• Lead contractor coordination, safety, and compliance with company standards.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
• Review contractor proposals, drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Monitor progress to ensure budget, schedule, and quality targets are met.
• Coordinate with Facilities Engineering, Operations, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and Manufacturing.
• Maintain project documentation and closeout packages.
