Job summary

Northwood Space in Torrance, CA is seeking a Workplace Operations Manager to own day-to-day operations of our manufacturing and workplace facilities and ensure safety, reliability, and readiness as we scale production.

You will partner with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Workplace teams to build scalable processes for maintenance, vendor management, and space planning, balancing urgent needs with long-term improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in facilities management or operations at an industrial site.
• Experience managing building maintenance, service vendors, and facility projects from planning through completion.
• Knowledge of building systems and the ability to assess issues and prioritize solutions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with balancing urgent needs and longer-term improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility operations across production lines, the machine shop, inventory areas, and office space.
• Own preventive maintenance and repairs for building systems, utilities, equipment, cleaning, and grounds.
• Partner with Production and Engineering to plan facility work around manufacturing priorities and support changing equipment and space needs.
• Develop scalable processes for work orders, inspections, access, emergency response, and facility records.
• Manage contractors and service providers, including scopes of work, schedules, contracts, and the facilities budget.
• Lead space planning and facility improvements that support employee growth, production capacity, and an effective workplace experience.
