Job summary

TAD PGS, Inc. is seeking a skilled Technician in Oldsmar, FL to monitor and repair inline manufacturing equipment on the CCA production line.

You will perform installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and minor redesigns, collaborating with production, process, quality, and test engineers to keep equipment running efficiently. Applicants should have a technical associate level education, strong hands-on tool skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, or equivalent, with additional specialized technical training and 10 years of experience.
• General knowledge of the use of mechanical hand tools and soldering equipment.
• Highly skilled in problem-solving techniques and methods (process, product, procedure).
• Working knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical operations/systems.
• May require handling or exposure to chemicals used in the production area.
• Requires flexible working schedule to include possible weekend work, first or second shift.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs of in-line manufacturing equipment.
• Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components/modules, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
• May redesign basic optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
• May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
• Maintains appropriate maintenance, inventory, and repair logs.
• Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
