Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on production and facility equipment in a high-production environment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, while coordinating with vendors and documenting work orders. The role requires strong technical aptitude, ability to read schematics, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Technical aptitude with basic hand tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Read and follow manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • English language communication sufficient for job.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends is required.

Responsibilities

  • Observes mechanical machinery, equipment, and devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections and changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems and visually inspects, listens to, and troubleshoots machinery, equipment, and mechanical devices.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairs or replaces defective parts and/or dismantles defective machines/equipment to gain access to and/or remove defective parts.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses the malfunction with the Maintenance Manager, technicians, and production staff to diagnose the malfunction.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts and/or installs new or repaired parts when required.
  • Installs or repairs basic electrical apparatus such as wiring and electrical or electronic components of machinery and equipment and starts devices to test their performance.
  • Assists in the installation of feeders, branch circuit wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshoots malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, relays and contactors and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables and repairs or replaces faulty electrical components of the machine such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices.
  • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Completes maintenance request or PM documentation for all work performed.
  • Communicates status of incomplete work to the Maintenance Manager or the next shift technician via email or verbally.
  • Actively participates in ongoing job training to become mechanically proficient across all production departments.
  • Participates in knowledge sharing and the training of other technicians.
  • Follows and adheres to all environmental, safety, and health policies and procedures without exception.
