Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Technician in Mountain Top, PA, to maintain photolithography equipment and perform preventative maintenance. You will troubleshoot electromechanical and electro-pneumatic systems, work with engineering teams, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

The role requires a strong electrical/mechanical background, with leadership capabilities and the ability to work on night shifts (Mon-Fri 11:00pm-7:30am) with a 15%

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant maintenance experience or an AAS in a technical field.
• Solid electrical and mechanical aptitude and familiarity with semiconductor equipment.
• Ability to define and manage maintenance events to improve tool performance.
• Experience with hand tools and measurement equipment for diagnostics and repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems including motors and controllers.
• Troubleshoot electro-pneumatic systems including valves and vacuum devices.
• Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance safely and accurately.
• Use test equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Read schematics and calibrate equipment using provided tooling.
• Draft maintenance procedures and specifications to guide operations.
• Follow safety documentation and identify potential violations to improve safety.
• Lead small teams and mentor other technicians as needed.
• Perform equipment modifications per engineers' direction.
• Coordinate with outside vendors when required.
• Provide training and mentoring to peers.

Job Description

onsemiis looking for a knowledgeable Manufacturing Equipment Technician that can perform preventative maintenance and lead electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. This position will specialize in maintaining various semiconductor manufacturing equipment in the Photolithography area. A qualified candidate must have a basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge, and a passion for working safely in a fast-paced industry. Within this team-based environment, you will work closely with equipment, process, and production engineering to provide high quality products for our customers, on time.

Shift:Monday-Friday 11:00pm-7:30am. Includes a 15% Shift Differential!

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems that include servo motors and controllers, stepper motors and controllers, AC motors and controllers, and DC motors and controllers.
• Troubleshoot and repair electro-pneumatic systems that include solenoid valves, gate valves, high vacuum isolation valves, vacuum pumps, and pneumatic logic circuits.
• The completion of all scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repair procedures in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems and put corrective actions in place.
• Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
• Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications.
• A safety-minded approach is required: employeesmustbe able to learn, understand and follow all safety documentation, specs, and protocol, including LOTO. Must also be able to identify any/all safety concerns and regulatory violations in order to eradicate them.
• The ability to consistently take initiative and drive one’s own work at a high level and demonstrate advanced leadership skills for small teams.
• Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Work with outside vendors as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 6 years of professional maintenance experience or AAS in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Electrical Technology, or a Military Electronics degree.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude is required to succeed in this role.
• Ability to define, initiate, and manage maintenance events that improve tool function and metrics.
• Use hand tools including wrenches, calipers, voltage/current meters, oscilloscopes, and other various equipment technology specific tooling
• A strong understanding and working knowledge of the following systems is beneficial: pneumatic/hydraulic pump systems, multi axis servo systems, optical components, chillers & cooling systems.
• Familiarity with Robotic / Automated handling systems & vacuum systems
• Must be able to work with various hazardous gases and chemicals. Must be able to wear full face airline respirator.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 1/3 of the time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in both an office and anti-static clean room environment.
• Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications.
• Opportunity to provide leadership to other technicians by providing training and mentoring.
• Strong communicator, who can effectively work with a team of manufacturing operators, process engineers, as well as other technicians.
• Experience with any and all of these machine technologies is a plus…Steppers, Coaters, Developers, CD SEM.
