onsemi in Hopewell Junction, NY, is seeking Equipment/Maintenance Technicians for its state-of-the-art 300mm fab. You will sustain and run the fab floor, resolving equipment and process issues on a compressed 12-hour shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including cleanroom environment.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Travel 0–10%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and qualify state-of-the-art 300 mm diffusion furnace equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and teach others how to perform it.
• React to error messages from factory systems and equipment.
• Review SPC charts and react to out-of-control conditions.
• Perform visual quality inspections and ensure process quality.
• Support tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost improvements.
• Complete required reporting and documentation.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Assist in continuous improvement and skill development.
• Work as a strong team member with global colleagues.
• Day shift 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday 6:30 AM-7:00 PM; Day Shift 2 Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday 6:30 AM-7:00 PM.

Job Description

TECHNICIANS - Onsemi EFK is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in East Fishkill, New York. Equipment/Maintenance Technicians sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. Technician positions are shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. Onsemi is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TECHNICIANS

• Monitor, control, and qualify state-of-the-art 300 mm diffusion furnace semiconductor equipment
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, preventive maintenance activities
• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
• Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions, including defect troubleshooting
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, visual inspections (quality checks)
• Recover from process and tool interruptions
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost
• Complete all required reporting and documentation
• Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning, and skills development
• Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed, and perform other duties as assigned
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
• Day shift 1 Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
• Day Shift 2 Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday from 6:30 am -7:00 pm

Qualifications

Qualifications to the Technician role

Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)

• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Travel – 0% to 10%
• Physical Capacity Demands – Able to perform shift work on a 12-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment per the semiconductor industry and Onsemi protocol/requirements.
• Able to wear all required cleanroom & safety protective clothing and equipment throughout a 12-hour day (excluding breaks).
• Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift (preventive maintenance) and/or process issues.
• Able to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks)

onsemi is excited to share the base hourly range for this TECHNICIAN is $21.20-$41.06 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
