Job summary

Heilind Electronics in Lumberton Township, NJ, seeks an Engineering Technician to support VAD, the warehouse, and the facility operations. You will troubleshoot production equipment, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate corrective actions with the Manufacturing Engineer, while ensuring 5S standards and lean initiatives.

In this role you will maintain calibration records, support PM programs, read 2D drawings, and assist in documenting non-conformances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2-year technical or trade school in engineering or equipment technology preferred.
• 3 years of industry experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• 2--3 years of hands-on tooling, fixture, and production equipment experience required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily VAD production equipment and coordinate corrective actions with the Manufacturing Engineer.
• Evaluate, test, validate, and implement new tooling, fixtures, and semi-automated assembly equipment.
• Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs and maintain spare parts inventory.
• Use optical comparator and other measurement tools to verify fixture, tooling, and component dimensions.
• Maintain calibration records for gauges, torque tools, and measurement equipment to support QMS requirements.
• Lead 5S audits and sustainment activities across VAD, warehouse, and facility areas.
