Job summary

Maxonic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Sunnyvale, CA for a contract role onsite. The engineer will troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, supporting NPI and sustaining production, with a focus on MRB and first-pass yield.

Applicants should have strong knowledge of electrical circuits and mechanical drawings, plus experience with JIRA, Agile, and SAP. Five years in a systems engineering support role are required.

Qualifications

• AS degree, trade school, military technical training or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years of troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting a system engineering group in a product development organization.
• Ability to troubleshoot PCAs down to component level.
• Electrical and mechanical assembly experience (soldering, crimping, box build).

Responsibilities

• Assist or execute engineering level tests and collect data.
• Assist with parts order, build, and modification of development fixtures for evaluation.
• Document all activities to keep records.
• Manage time and resources in accordance with project.
• Perform other engineering technician duties as needed.
• Follow production escalation process and provide engineering evaluation of any interruptions to production line.
• Perform quick triage of issues to keep production moving.
• Document all activities during escalation support in formal records.
• Order parts and assemble/bring up duplicate fixtures for production.
