Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Corinth, MS is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician III to support Manufacturing Engineers in project execution and daily operations at the Corinth facility.

The role involves developing print packages for RFQs, tooling and fixturing, CI card completion, Standard Work and ETQ documentation, and assisting with plant layouts and related tasks. The candidate will engage in Lean initiatives, support NPI, and help install and run new equipment while ensuring quality and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a diesel engine manufacturing or test facility OR Associate's degree in Diesel Mechanics Technology or similar field.
• Experience reading wiring and mechanical schematics (prints).
• Experience reading and understanding precision gauges and/or torque devices.
• Experience with process flow diagrams, control plans, and PFMEAs.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems, recognizing the need for support and creating teams to accomplish tasks, if necessary.
• High proficiency of PC skills including Microsoft office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Manufacturing Engineers in the execution of project implementation and daily operations.
• Develop print packages for RFQs, tooling and fixturing, CI card completion, Standard Work and other ETQ documentation creation and maintenance.
• Create tooling drawings and plant layouts in AutoCAD; purchase tooling and supplies via Caterpillar PO System.
• Interfacing with operations and cross functional groups in addition to engineering; perform root cause analyses.
