Job summary

Saint-Gobain Bristol is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support engineering execution, production readiness, and continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor. You will help with ERP/routing, BOM updates, and EC activities, coordinating tools and fixtures to sustain daily operations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing engineering and 5+ years in CNC, molding, or resin development, plus an engineering or related technical degree.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years manufacturing engineering experience required.
  • 5+ years experience manufacturing (CNC, molding or resin) required.
  • Engineering or related technical degree preferred.
  • Lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support ERP and routing maintenance and BOM updates.
  • Develop work instructions and set-up sheets.
  • Coordinate fixturing and tooling for production.
  • Assist with EC activities and engineering changes.
  • Provide floor-level troubleshooting to improve flow and reduce scrap.

Job description

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports engineering execution activities required to maintain production readiness, manufacturing continuity, and continuous improvement within the Bristol operation.This role provides direct support for engineering documentation, production process definition, manufacturing floor support, and execution of engineering change activities required to sustain daily operations and support customer requirements.Key responsibilities include support of Contract / Production Readiness Reviews, ERP and routing maintenance, Bills of Material (BOM) updates, work instruction and set-up sheet development, fixturing and tooling coordination, and execution of Engineering Change (EC) activities.The role works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to support production order execution, pre-production release activities, corrective action implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives utilizing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology.Additional responsibilities include support of router modifications, CNC programming support, APQP / PPAP documentation activities, technical drawing updates, and floor-level troubleshooting associated with production flow, scrap reduction, rework reduction, and process improvement.This position represents a high-interaction execution support role intended to improve responsiveness, maintain alignment between engineering intent and manufacturing execution, and increase available engineering capacity for higher-level technical and strategic activities.

For this position, we offer a competitive hourly pay range of $28.00 to $45.00. This rate reflects various factors, such as your location, internal equity, and your unique skills and experience.But that's not all! In addition to your base pay, you will have the opportunity to earn periodic bonuses or an annual bonus, which can amount to up to 10% of your hourly rate based on both company performance and your individual contributions. When you consider the annualized total compensation, which includes both your hourly pay and potential bonuses, you could be looking at a rewarding total cash range of $61,100 to $98,200! Engineering Execution and Manufacturing SupportSupport engineering execution activities required to maintain manufacturing readiness and production continuity. Activities include ERP maintenance, BOM and router updates, engineering documentation, work instructions, set-up sheets, fixturing coordination, tooling support, and floor-level manufacturing support. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering personnel to support production order execution and resolution of manufacturing issues.Contract Review and Production ReadinessSupport Contract / Production Readiness Reviews to ensure manufacturing requirements, engineering specifications, and operational expectations are clearly defined and executable within production processes. Participate in pre-production release collaboration for work orders associated with elevated scrap, rework, MRB activity, or cycle time performance concerns.Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action SupportSupport continuous improvement initiatives utilizing WCM methodology and associated corrective action workflows. Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, sustainment activities, and identification of opportunities supporting operational efficiency and site cost savings objectives.Project and Change ManagementSupport execution of Engineering Changes (EC), APQP / PPAP activities, technical drawing revisions, process documentation updates, and engineering project activities associated with NPI, NPD, process improvement, and operational initiatives.Training and Operational CoordinationProvide technical guidance and coordination support to manufacturing personnel related to processing methods, work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and operational best practices. Support cross-functional communication and coordination activities required to maintain execution alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.EHS CommitmentMaintain strong commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements while supporting engineering and manufacturing activities. Identify opportunities for risk reduction and support implementation of safe and effective operational practices within manufacturing and engineering support activities.
