Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Section Manager for the Missile Integration and Test Factory in Tucson, AZ. You’ll lead approx. 10–25 engineers and experts, provide producibility guidance, and report to the Department Manager on strategic Make Center actions.

You will coach engineers in MTE skills, drive career development, and manage staffing while coordinating with sections, safety and performance teams to ensure program success.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience leading teams or projects.
• Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and training Engineers in Manufacturing and Test Engineering (MTE) skills and processes and providing overall technical guidance
• Mentoring and providing career development coaching and performance reviews
• Coordinating resources, managing team staffing levels
• Chairing the Process Control Board
• Conducting EAC forecasting
• Coordinating with other Sections, Safety and Performance Development
• Providing Subject Matter Expertise in MTE processes and procedures
• Develop influential relationships with internal customers
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective action investigations
• Support proposal activities and provide cost estimates for program bids and fiscal year planning
