Manufacturing Engineering Resource Planner III

Under the general supervision of a supervisor or an employee of equal or higher rank, the Manufacturing Engineering Resource Planner III is responsible for administering effective allocation of manufacturing resources for process planning creation and maintenance.

Responsibilities include BOM consumption, CAP routing creation, and manufacturing item orders for operations in Bell's systems. Knowledge of shop production and processing operations is required. Must adhere to management strategies, departmental processes, and procedures. May train employees.

Work Performed

• Analyze engineering drawings, models, BOMs, specifications, and departmental procedures to perform assigned work.
• Manage and consume BOMs accurately for manufacturing.
• Create and maintain work sequence documentation and CAP routings.
• Create manufacturing orders/requests such as NC programs, tools, fixtures, and gages.
• Support manufacturing through production order and tool maintenance.
• Maintain dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions, and ply tables.
• Knowledge of Loft, Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, and Planning processes.
• Support producibility assessments.
• Maintain records and schedules, meeting cost, schedule, and quality standards.
• Assist procurement and suppliers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Apply aircraft manufacturing knowledge and train others as needed.
• Attend training to stay current with technological advancements.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or experience in the aircraft industry or Bell apprentice program, with knowledge of GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
