Job summary

Lutron Electronics in Humacao, Puerto Rico seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers driving efficiency, quality, and performance in electronics manufacturing. The role focuses on Lean/Six Sigma projects, process development for PCBAs, and ECN coordination to improve production systems.

You will partner with cross-functional teams globally to align with the company’s manufacturing excellence initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of product quality and delivery performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; master’s degree is a plus.
• 12+ years’ experience post academics with majority in manufacturing engineering within electronics and/or mechanical assembly industry.
• 3+ years of experience and knowledge in Process improvements such as Lean, or Six Sigma methodology.
• 5+ years of people management and development experience.
• Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Fountain Selective Solder (FSS), Wave is a plus.
• Working knowledge of excel and other software tools for data analysis.
• Experience in high mix - low volume manufacturing environments, electronic/mechanical industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Global Process Improvements by analyzing workflow, space, and equipment layout using Lean/Six Sigma methods.
• Oversee Process Engineering for PCBAs, SMT, and through-hole components; manage equipment reliability and maintenance.
