Job summary

Persistent Recruiting Solutions | PRS represents a Fortune 500 manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the engineering organization, advancing processes, equipment, automation, and capabilities to support growth. The role is highly visible, with a track for advancement toward VP of Engineering, VP of Operations, and President-level leadership.

Full relocation to the Los Angeles area is provided, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Quality, and Engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing or related engineering; MBA preferred.
• Experience leading manufacturing engineering teams and delivering improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the manufacturing engineering team with clear priorities and plans.
• Manage the engineering project portfolio including schedule, budget, and quality.
• Improve manufacturing processes, equipment, controls, and technical capabilities.
• Establish standards, design reviews, and equipment acceptance criteria.
• Identify and implement automation to improve productivity and labor efficiency.
• Lead new-product introduction, process development, capacity planning, validation, and transition to production.
• Partner with vendors to develop and implement manufacturing solutions.
• Define vendor requirements and manage proposals, reviews, and deliverables.
• Manage resources, budgets, and project spending.
• Use metrics to drive scrap, rework, cycle time, downtime, and productivity.
