Job summary

StaffBright is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Jacksonville, FL to lead and develop the engineering function. You will drive equipment modernization, automation, and capital projects while shaping the future of a growing manufacturing operation.

The role requires 7–10+ years in manufacturing engineering with 3–5+ years of people leadership, strong financial acumen, and a track record of delivering performance improvements. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7–10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 3–5+ years managing and developing engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading equipment upgrades, automation implementations, and new manufacturing technologies.
• Strong financial acumen, including managing budgets, capital investments, and project expenditures.
• Experience guiding established engineering teams through change and developing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the manufacturing engineering function, overseeing 5–7 direct reports.
• Drive equipment modernization, automation implementations, and new manufacturing technologies.
• Lead capital projects with equipment upgrades and process improvements.
• Evaluate processes, equipment, and production systems to improve efficiency, quality, cost, and reliability.
• Develop and manage engineering budgets, capital expenditures, and project investments.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, OEE, and root-cause analysis.
• Establish KPIs to measure engineering performance and equipment effectiveness.
• Lead the engineering team through organizational and technological changes and grow talent.
• Partner with plant leadership to align engineering with operational goals.
