We provide turnkey, custom power packages that integrate alternators, cooling systems, controls, switchgear, cabling, and protection, delivered as containerized, skid, or walk-in solutions. Our team manages the full lifecycle from application engineering and 3D design to structural fabrication, wiring and piping, sound and thermal management, code compliance, factory acceptance testing, and site support. With scalable production capacity and disciplined program management, PSI delivers repeatable quality and reliable performance on complex builds for mission‑critical and industrial applications worldwide.

Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads the day‑to‑day execution of manufacturing engineering activities and manages the assigned manufacturing engineering team. The role is responsible for implementing safe, capable, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes; supporting production and new product introduction; improving plant layout, tooling, work instructions, and process controls; and driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and material flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage the assigned Manufacturing Engineering team, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations aligned with the Director of Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Translate Manufacturing Engineering strategy and priorities into executable plans, projects, standards, and daily support for manufacturing operations.
  • Partner closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Safety, Design Engineering, and Continuous Improvement to resolve manufacturing constraints and improve operational performance.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve safe manufacturing processes, production flow, assembly methods, workstations, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing cells and plant layouts to optimize the use of space, equipment, material, and labor while supporting lean, agile, and flexible manufacturing processes.
  • Support new product introduction and engineering changes by ensuring manufacturing readiness, including process definition, tooling, work instructions, routings, process controls, and production requirements before release to regular production.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions, standard work, process documentation, and other controls required for consistent execution on the production floor.
  • Lead structured root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and process‑related issues, including implementation of error‑proofing and prevention measures.
  • Support PFMEA, Process Control Plans, APQP activities, and other quality planning tools as applicable to manufacturing processes.
  • Identify, justify, and execute productivity, cost‑reduction, automation, and capital improvement opportunities within approved budgets and priorities.
  • Support implementation and sustainment of lean manufacturing practices, including 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, material flow, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and equipment comply with applicable safety requirements and partner with Safety to address hazards and implement required controls.
  • Support accurate manufacturing data and process configuration within ERP systems, including routings, labor standards, and other manufacturing master data as assigned.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on tooling, equipment, and manufacturing requirements to ensure specifications, timing, and performance expectations are met.
  • Track and communicate project status, manufacturing engineering priorities, risks, actions, and measurable results to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Operations leadership.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another applicable engineering field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 7-10 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, including experience leading engineers, technicians, or cross‑functional manufacturing projects.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and improving manufacturing processes, plant layouts, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and production flow.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methods and tools, including 5S, Kaizen, standard work, problem solving, and waste reduction.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing and process‑related issues.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction, engineering changes, PFMEA, Process Control Plans, and manufacturing readiness.
