Power Solutions International/3Pi seeks a Maintenance and Facilities Manager to oversee multi-site maintenance, facilities operations, and capital projects. Based in Darien, Wisconsin, with regular travel to Beloit, you will drive asset reliability, energy efficiency, and preventive maintenance programs while partnering with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, industrial management, a related field, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience managing multi-site maintenance operations in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, and fire-protection systems.
• Proficiency with CMMS, work orders, preventive maintenance, and reporting.
• Ability to travel regularly between PSI locations.

With scalable production capacity and disciplined program management, PSI delivers repeatable quality and reliable performance on complex builds for mission-critical and industrial applications worldwide.SUMMARY:The Maintenance and Facilities Manager leads multi-site maintenance and facility operations to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective support for production and distribution. This role is responsible for production equipment, plant infrastructure, utilities, buildings, and grounds, with a focus on uptime, preventive and predictive maintenance, asset reliability, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement. The manager develops maintenance personnel and partners with Operations, Engineering, and EHS to improve performance and ensure compliance. The position is based in Darien, Wisconsin, with regular travel to PSI locations in Beloit.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDirect and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all manufacturing and warehouse facilities, including buildings, grounds, utilities, and production support systems.Ensure the safe and reliable operation of enclosure-fabrication equipment, including laser-cutting systems, press brakes, welding equipment, powder-coating systems, material-handling equipment, and associated utilities.Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime, improve equipment reliability, and maximize asset life.Partner with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, EHS, and Materials to prioritize maintenance activities and ensure equipment and facilities support production schedules, safety requirements, and material flow.Multi-Plant OversightDevelop and implement standardized maintenance and facilities management processes across all sites to improve consistency, reliability, safety, and compliance.Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including equipment uptime, preventive maintenance completion, unplanned downtime, work-order backlog, maintenance costs, and response time.Conduct regular inspections and audits across all locations to verify maintenance quality, facility condition, regulatory compliance, and readiness for ISO, customer, and regulatory audits, in partnership with EHS and Quality.Project & Capital ManagementLead capital improvements, facility modifications, equipment installations, and relocations that improve safety, capacity, and production flow.Coordinate Engineering, contractors, and suppliers to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.Identify, prioritize, and recommend capital expenditures based on safety, compliance, reliability, capacity, cost reduction, and business requirements. Manage approved projects in accordance with PSI’s capital authorization process.Energy, Sustainability & ComplianceImprove energy efficiency and support company waste-reduction, recycling, emissions-control, and sustainability objectives.Partner with EHS to ensure facilities, equipment, maintenance activities, and contractor work comply with applicable EPA, OSHA, NFPA, and local regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate and current documentation for facility inspections, permits, equipment certifications, contractor activities, and regulatory audits.Budgeting & Vendor ManagementDevelop and manage multi-site maintenance and facilities budgets and support capital planning.Select and manage qualified vendors and service agreements in coordination with Procurement, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop maintenance supervisors, technicians, and facilities personnel across all locations.Establish clear priorities, performance expectations, work-order discipline, and accountability for preventive maintenance and timely equipment repairs.Develop technical skills, cross-training, and coverage plans to support production requirements and reduce reliance on individual employees or outside contractors.Model professional, respectful, and solution-oriented leadership that promotes safety, ownership, urgency, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.Collaborate effectively across functions, respond promptly to direction, gather relevant facts, recommend solutions, escalate barriers constructively, and align with leadership before making decisions that affect safety, production, or other teams.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, industrial management, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Experience managing multi-site maintenance operations, capital projects, and vendor contracts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, equipment reliability, and plant electrical, mechanical, compressed-air, power-distribution, and fire-protection systems.Working knowledge of laser-cutting systems, press brakes, welding and powder-coating equipment, and material-handling equipment.Proficiency with CMMS, including work orders, preventive maintenance, equipment history, spare-parts control, and performance reporting.Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures, lead root-cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.Strong project management, budgeting, cost-control, and vendor-management skills.Knowledge of manufacturing safety and environmental requirements, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, electrical safety, and contractor safety.Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and change-management skills.Ability to prioritize and respond effectively to urgent equipment or facility issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to travel regularly between PSI manufacturing and warehouse locations.PSI offers a wide range of benefits from medical, dental, and vision to pet insurance as well as discounted prescription plans.
