Job summary

gpac is partnering with a growing contract manufacturer of engineered molded components for the medical device industry in Butler, WI. They seek a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Tooling with a Lean mindset.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 5+ years in plastic injection molding, with cross-functional leadership and expertise in CAD and ERP (IQMS). Relocation assistance is available; visa sponsorship is not.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor manufacturing engineers, maintenance staff, and tooling resources.
• Guide NPIs to ensure manufacturing readiness at launch.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance program in IQMS.
• Lead tooling team on readiness, repair, and lifecycle planning.
• Improve flow, uptime, and efficiency via standard work and value stream thinking.
• Use data-driven root-cause analysis to reduce downtime, defects, and variability.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and NPI on priorities.

PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Medical device experience is a plus.

A growing contract manufacturer of engineered molded components and assemblies for the medical device industry is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This high-impact leader will build out and run the Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Tooling functions with a Lean mindset.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor manufacturing engineers, maintenance staff, and tooling resources
• Guide engineers in building value streams for NPI so manufacturing is ready at launch
• Run a disciplined preventive and predictive maintenance program in IQMS to cut unplanned downtime
• Lead the tooling team on readiness, repair, troubleshooting, and lifecycle planning
• Improve flow, uptime, and efficiency through standard work and value stream thinking
• Use data-driven root cause analysis to cut downtime, defects, and variability
• Work with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and NPI on priorities

What You Bring

• A BS in Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
• Plastic injection molding experience (required). Silicone or rubber molding and medical device experience are strongly preferred
• A track record of leading cross-functional technical teams and developing people
• A strong grasp of Lean, value stream implementation, and continuous improvement
• Experience with equipment, automation, tooling, and process development
• Proficiency with CAD, ERP (IQMS a plus), and MS Office

Compensation: $125,000-$135,000 base plus a 15% bonus.
