Job summary

Uckele Health & Nutrition, Inc. in Blissfield, MI seeks an Engineering/Maintenance Manager to lead the Engineering and Maintenance teams, drive preventative maintenance, and oversee equipment installs and upgrades across locations.

You will manage capex, coordinate new product launches, and champion food safety and quality as part of operational excellence. This role requires a manufacturing/ME degree, PLC/automation knowledge, and strong leadership in a rigorous regulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
• Certified manufacturing engineer preferred.
• Knowledge of automation, manufacturing systems integration, programmable logic controllers, history of process improvement and project management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven team builder with multi-functional department leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Engineering/Maintenance Department and staff.
• Identify and purchase equipment meeting manufacturing needs.
• Oversee installation of new equipment.
• Facilitate associate technical training.
• Manage facilities and grounds at all locations.
• Coordinate and monitor new product launches through the engineering team.
• Report on targets and team metrics using CMMS and Redzone.
• Promote food safety and quality awareness throughout the organization.
