Job summary
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering organization in a high‑mix, high‑volume aerospace metal‑mechanics environment, onsite in the greater Austin, Texas area. You will define and execute the engineering strategy to boost safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and suppliers to remove bottlenecks; implement Lean, PFMEA, and continuous improvement; ensure NADCAP,
Qualifications
- Requires a university degree and 8+ years in manufacturing engineering.
- Experience leading engineering teams in aerospace or automotive settings.
- Working knowledge of SAP, ERP, MES and data systems.
- Strong PFMEA, SPC, MSA, DOE and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with machining, welding, heat treatment and related processes.
Responsibilities
- Set and execute the manufacturing engineering strategy for high-mix, high-volume production.
- Align product requirements, processes and shop-floor execution to meet goals.
- Lead Lean and CI programs, standard work and problem solving.
- Develop talent and coach teams across operations, quality and supply chain.
- Travel up to 25%.
