Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Med Tech seeks a Manufacturing Engineer Manager in Anasco, Puerto Rico. You will lead a team of manufacturing engineers, drive yield and reliability improvements, and ensure validated processes in a GMP/ISO environment.

The role partners across Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to deliver high-impact engineering initiatives. The position requires extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, people leadership, and strong regulatory knowledge to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; advanced degree or leadership training is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering or related areas is preferred.
• People leadership experience and ability to lead through influence is required.
• Experience with GMP/ISO requirements and validation lifecycle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Establish standards and governance for manufacturing areas and provide structured problem solving.
• Drive performance metrics including yield, uptime, OEE, and productivity via disciplined engineering.
• Lead programs of moderate to high complexity with safety, regulatory, and financial discipline.
• Provide leadership for root cause analysis, CAPAs, and equipment/process optimization.
• Ensure robust validation strategies (FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ) and compliance in manufacturing.
• Build systems for resource planning, workload management, and prioritization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align staffing, budgets, and execution.
• Prepare business cases, estimates, schedules, and status updates for leadership.
