Job summary

Kubota Group in Jefferson, GA (and Gainesville, GA) seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead Project Engineers and Tool Designers in a fast-paced environment, support new model launches, and drive process improvements across product development, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams.

You will oversee engineering resources, prioritize projects, mentor leaders, manage investments, and push initiatives that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and process capability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline, including experience supporting new model launches.
• Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
• Ability to travel between multiple facilities and participate in occasional domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Assistant Managers, Project Engineers, and Tool Designers through regular one-on-one meetings, mentoring, and performance management.
• Support team growth through coaching, teaching, and succession planning.
• Carry out managerial responsibilities including hiring, training, performance reviews, and resolution of employee issues.
• Develop assistant managers as future leaders within the organization.
• Provide leadership and decision-making support for new model launches and major manufacturing projects.
• Support project tracking, follow-up, and execution to meet quality, cost, and timing targets.
• Work cross-functionally with product development, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure project success.
• Teach and support Value Stream Engineers (VSEs) as needed during new model activities.
