Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for a 12-week onsite program in the United States. You will work with AV teams on manufacturing systems, analyzing production processes and data to support continuous improvement under guidance from experienced engineers.

Applicants should be pursuing a Bachelor's in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Relocation housing stipends may be available, and internships span multiple AV locations across the US.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA; relocation/housing stipend may be available.
• 12-week onsite internship.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting and improving manufacturing processes with focus on efficiency and quality.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methods to support continuous improvement.
• Analyze production data (yields, capacity, cost, process capability) to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in establishing and documenting standard work hours, sequences, and assembly procedures.
• Create and update work instructions and other manufacturing process documentation.
• Support DFMEA and PFMEA activities and cross-functional improvement projects.
