Job summary

Kewaunee Fabrications, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to assist in achieving manufacturing goals and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. The ME Intern will receive assignments from the Manager of Manufacturing and is encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.

Qualifications

  • Student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Welding Engineering Technology, Industrial, Mechanical or related Engineering field for the duration of the internship.
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater recommended.
  • Experience with ERP systems, CAD software, welding, machining or fabrication is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
  • Improve material handling methods.
  • Perform time studies.
  • Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes.
  • Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
  • Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
  • Create documentation for new product launches.
