Job summary

ITW in Wisconsin invites a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to shaping innovations and efficiency on the shop floor. You will partner with Manufacturing Engineers to create jigs, fixtures and workstations, apply AutoCAD, and help transition concepts into real equipment integration.

You will collect data from assembly lines, perform real-time studies, and support project planning with Gantt charts, timelines and cost analyses while advancing continuous improvement and safety metrics.

Qualifications

  • Studying Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Sophomore status required for internship.
  • Completed courses like Time & Motion Study, Computer Graphics, Facilities Layout/Mfg. Cost Analysis.
  • At least 1 year of experience with spreadsheets and word processing tools.
  • Relevant coursework in Mfg. Materials and Processes or Production and Operations Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and production team to develop jigs, fixtures and workstations.
  • Capture process data from assembly lines and contribute to real-time studies.
  • Create and manage project timelines using Gantt charts and assist in cost analyses.
  • Explore new technologies and tools to drive continuous improvement, efficiency and safety metrics.
