ITW is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to partner with our engineers and production team. You will help design jigs, fixtures, and workstations, and participate in real-time studies of assembly lines using timing equipment.

You’ll contribute to project timelines, cost analyses, and the adoption of new technologies that enhance efficiency and safety across operations. This internship emphasizes cross-functional teamwork and hands-on learning in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Sophomore standing with intent to contribute during internship.
• Coursework in Time & Motion Study, Computer Graphics, Facilities Layout/Mfg. Cost Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and production team to develop jigs, fixtures, and workstations.
• Assist in real-time studies using videotapes and timing equipment to capture process data.
• Create and manage project roadmaps, timelines, and basic cost analyses for small-scale projects.
• Explore new technologies and tools; support cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and safety metrics.
