ITW in Minnesota invites a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to shape innovation on our production floor. You’ll work with engineers to design jigs, fixtures and workstations, turning ideas into tangible improvements that boost efficiency and safety.

You"ll study assembly line operations using video timing tools, develop Gantt charts, and assist from concept through completion, gaining real-world project experience within a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology.
• Sophomore standing.
• Completed courses: Time & Motion Study, Computer Graphics, Facilities Layout/Mfg. Cost Analysis.
• At least 1 year of experience with spreadsheets and word processing tools.
• Courses such as Mfg. Materials and Processes or Production and Operations Analysis are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to design jigs, fixtures, and workstations.
• Analyze assembly line processes using videotapes and timing equipment to identify improvements.
• Create and manage Gantt charts; assist in project planning from concept to completion.
• Explore new technologies and cross-functional collaboration to boost efficiency and safety metrics.
