Job summary

Hermeus is seeking talented students to join our Manufacture Engineering team in Los Angeles to support improvement initiatives to expand in-house manufacturing capabilities and contribute to the design, build, and testing of flight and critical ground support hardware.

Spring: Around 16 weeks (January - April); Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August); Fall: Around 16 weeks (September - December).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM degree at an accredited college or university (undergrad 3rd/4th year or grad student).
• Interest in vehicle hardware and aviation, with strong engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate designs for manufacturability and testing feedback.
• Design and implement tooling and test solutions for component builds.
• Develop new processes for flight hardware builds.
• Manage projects and timelines with stakeholders.
• Provide data-driven solutions to build issues.
• Interface with technicians and engineers to resolve non-conformances.
• Develop and refine floor layouts.
• Support capacity modeling and time studies.
• Collaborate to solve large-scale production challenges.
