Job summary

Hermeus, a venture-backed defense aviation company, seeks an undergraduate or graduate student in a STEM program for a manufacturing internship. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a STEM program (undergrad 3rd/4th year or grad)
• Hands-on experience designing, building, testing, or manufacturing hardware
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles and vehicle hardware
• Familiarity with manufacturing, CAD, drawings, GD&T
• Ability to work across cross-functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• GPA 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing and process improvement projects focusing on safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency
• Partner with engineers and technicians to support hardware build, integration, and production activities
• Assist with root-cause investigations and corrective actions
• Help evaluate designs for manufacturability and production readiness
• Support tooling, assembly processes, and test procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce build time and waste
• Assist with troubleshooting non-conforming hardware and documenting findings
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, procedures, BOMs)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition hardware from development into production
