Job summary

Oshkosh Delivery, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support manufacturing goals and continuous improvement. You will audit work instructions, improve material handling, perform time studies, and learn ERP manufacturing software while contributing to new product launches and tooling plans.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a willingness to learn Lean/5S concepts;

Qualifications

• Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or related Engineering field.
• Completed at least Sophomore year coursework (or equivalent)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Audit and update work instructions, routings and bills of materials.
• Improve material handling methods.
• Perform time studies.
• Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
• Provide technical support to the production personnel.
• Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
• Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
• Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
• Create documentation for new product launches.
