Job summary

Electrified Thermal Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support pilot production of the E-Brick refractory heating elements for our Joule Hive thermal battery. The role is hands-on, combining casting and finishing with mold prep and a capstone project that directly impacts operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with hands-on work in a professional or educational setting (lab, production, or construction).
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to adhering to workplace safety procedures and contributing to safety culture.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lb material bags, stand for extended periods, and work in PPE.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar data management tools.

Responsibilities

• Mix, pour, vibrate, cure, fire, QC, and package refractory E-Brick heating elements as part of the Manufacturing team.
• Prepare molds for casting, including cleaning, assembly, and repair.
• Prepare and document QA/QC samples for each production batch.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements that increase throughput, consistency, and quality.
• Write and revise SOPs for casting, mold preparation, and lab equipment.
• Keep production area, samples, tooling, and materials clean, organized, and cataloged.
• Execute a capstone engineering project with direct impact on company operations.
