Job summary

Shape Corp. invites applications for Summer 2027 Engineering Intern/Co-op positions across multiple tracks. You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, collaborating on real-world projects that shape the future of engineering.

Interns will explore product development processes, GD&T, and data management tools like Teamcenter and VisMockUp, while developing practical design and process skills under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in collaborative teams.

Responsibilities

• Design tools and fixtures using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Support continuous improvement and production troubleshooting.
• Create and revise operator instructions.
• Assist with asset management, safety audits, and plant layout planning.
• Gain exposure to Shape’s Product Development processes (SPMP, enterProj, Plex, Smartsheet).
• Learn GD&T fundamentals and drawing development.
• Work with Teamcenter and VisMockUp to manage product data.
• Assist in DFMEA, DVP&R, and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design and process development.
