Zekelman Industries invites an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering student to join as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Sharon Tube in Niles, OH. You will work on plant layouts, process improvements, and data analysis, collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.

This on‑site internship runs May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027 and offers hands‑on learning, mentorship, and exposure to real projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong communication abilities.
• Well organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• CAD or drafting experience is a plus (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Willingness to travel for Internship Summit.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design layouts for plant efficiency using CAD tools.
• Analyze workflows and material movement for optimal placement.
• Support labor standards using time study analysis.
• Collect and analyze data to improve process effectiveness.
• Lead or support continuous improvement projects.
• Develop manufacturing processes and standard methods.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify root causes of yield loss.
• Maintain documentation such as work instructions and routings.
