Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Durant, MS, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op for Spring 2027 (Jan–May 2027). You will contribute to plant performance through continuous improvement projects under a manufacturing engineer mentor focusing on metal fabrication and assembly processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing major in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred) or related 4-year degree.
• Applicable work experience preferred.
• Spring 2027 Co-Op duration Jan 2027 – May 2027.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and validate fixtures and tooling for production and/or material handling.
• Verify and update plant layout drawings as required.
• Research, order, and implement tools and plant equipment for existing and new processes.
• Create or revise process documentation including work instructions and technical procedures.
• Hands-on project execution to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
