Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op for Spring 2027 (Jan 2027–May 2027). The role focuses on designing fixtures, tooling, and process improvements for manufacturing operations.

You will work on projects from concept to implementation, gaining hands-on experience in processes and analysis. The position targets students in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with 2.5 GPA and hands-on CAD experience.

Qualifications

• 2.5 GPA minimum (on resume).
• Majors include Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics & Robotics.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (PTC Creo preferred).
• Working knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Design fixturing to support welding, machining, testing and assembly.
• Create drawings and BOMs, purchase components, and assemble/test fixtures.
• Fabricate custom parts to support operations with basic tooling equipment.
• Investigate and source tools and equipment as needed.
• Analyze processes for improvements in design, fixturing, layout, and work instructions.
• Support prototype builds for new product development.
