Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Bridgeton, MO is offering a Spring 2027 Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op. You will design fixtures and tooling, bring concepts to implemented solutions, and gain exposure to manufacturing processes and analysis.

The role requires a minimum 2.5 GPA, studies in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronics, and proficiency with 3D modeling; experience with PTC Creo is preferred, along with Excel and PowerPoint. Onsite co-op with real-world experience and team activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.5 GPA (must be on resume).
• Major studies in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering.
• 3D solid modeling experience; PTC Creo preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design fixturing to support welding, machining, testing, and assembly operations.
• Generate drawings and bills of materials, purchase components, and assemble and test designed fixtures.
• Fabricate custom parts to support operations using equipment such as a drill press or shear.
• Investigate and purchase tools and equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing areas for process improvements such as part design changes, fixturing needs, layout changes, and work instruction updates.
• Support prototype builds for new product development.
• Additional duties as assigned.
